ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
& FISCAL ANALYSIS

In a collaboration with Parkhill, Pegasus is led the development of an economic development chapter for Horizon City’s updated comprehensive plan. The new economic development plan takes into consideration key areas and corridors and incorporates TOD initiatives. In addition to a demographic and economic analysis of regional trends impacting Horizon City, Pegasus performed a fiscal analysis exploring the economic impacts of different land use scenarios. These analyses will culminate into goals, objectives, and recommendations for the future development of Horizon City, to be outlined in the new comprehensive plan.

FISCAL ANALYSIS & ECONOMIC STUDY

Pegasus is among a group of experts creating a comprehensive plan for the City of Lakeway, TX. Specifically, Pegasus has been tasked with performing fiscal impact analysis of three land use scenarios and providing strategic recommendations to guide the planning process and future development of Lakeway. Pegasus also performed an in-depth market and demographic analysis of Lakeway comparing them to peer cities. Among key economic considerations for this project has been the need to address workforce development and the exploration of redevelopment opportunities which will respond to the City’s future population growth.

COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

The New Braunfels Economic Development Corporation recently completed implementing their previous 5-year economic development strategy, and they have hired Pegasus to lead an effort to create a new list of projects for their next five year plan. This effort arrives at the same moment the City of New Braunfels is undergoing a new comprehensive planning effort, for which Pegasus will provide lead architecture firm, Design Workshop, with related policy tools to stimulate economic development in the city's 5- and 10-year plans.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP, SMALL BUSINESS, & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLAYBOOK

The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce brought in Pegasus to facilitate an innovative community-wide strategic plan. The process involved convening public, private, educational and non-profit entities to identify mutual goals, shared resources and ways and means that each entity's individual efforts and strategic plans might be more synergistic and interdependent. The region is blessed with tremendous institutional capacity and economic resource, but until this plan, these resources were divided and the institutions worked in silos.

FIELDS DISTRICT STUDY

& ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

Pegasus and Point A Consulting provided market analysis and feasibility analysis for an Ag-Tech Innovation Campus in the City of  Meridian, Idaho. Meridian is a large and growing community located west of the capital of Boise. It sits in the rich agricultural region of the Treasure Valley. More recently, the MSA has witnessed expansion within the technology sector. As the city continues to grow economically and expand geographically into surrounding greenfield areas, the City is seeking a creative, harmonious balance between development and agricultural land preservation.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

& RETAIL LEAKAGE STUDY

When the City of Buda came to us looking for ways to help their community in the face of retail leakage and rapid growth, we analyzed their economic position and crafted solutions for expanding opportunities for economic growth. We created a plan to improve the quality of place for the residents of Buda and designed a plan for the town to create new jobs, increase retail development and retention, and create a more connected, vibrant downtown.

The EDC has had great success implementing the plan and in June 2014 won a Texas Economic Development Recognition Award.
